2025 FUNdamental Program
Supporting and growing the game of field hockey in the State College Community
Who: Kids 1st* - 8th grade.
If your child is in kindergarten and you feel comfortable with their maturity level, we welcome them. They should be ready to work in small groups with 8:1 or so player to coach ratios.
What: Learn the fundamentals of field hockey in a spirited way. This program introduces and/or expands the basic concepts of the game of field hockey. Fun games incorporate the skills taught throughout the sessions. Players grouped according to age. Sessions consist of basic skills development and small games.
Dates/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays
April 29 and May 1 & 6 6:00-7:15 PM
May 8,13,15,20 & 22 (27th & 29th makeup) 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM
May 27 and 29 are make-up days if needed.
Location: Memorial Turf Field
Cost: $130 ** Sibling discount - Less $25 for subsequent players from the same household. **
Payment will be made via Credit/Debit Card OR Zelle.

What to bring: Water bottle, mouth guard, shin guards, stick **Stick Package Available -$60.** There are sticks to borrow on a first come, first served basis.
Coaches: State College Field Hockey coaches will be leading the sessions with current college players, assisted by current State College Varsity/JV players. The coaching staff has players/coaches with coaching experience at youth levels through college. Collectively, the staff has been at Penn State, Iowa, Yale, Cornell, Towson, James Madison, Boston University, Ohio University and numerous successful high school programs.
