PFMS Volleyball
10/28 Congratulations to out 2024 volleyball teams on an excellent season. The Gray team finished 7-1. Their only loss was to MNMS early in the season but they won the 2nd matchup in October. The Maroon team was undefeated in match play, 8-0, and also won all 3 tournaments they entered. The core of the team was also undefeated in 2023. Their 2 year record in sets played was 67-2. We wish the 8th graders all the best as they move on to bigger things and can't wait to get back to work with the 7th graders next season.
9/28 Congratulations to Coach Aubrey on her 1st head coaching experience. Aubrey has been great with young players for years now so we never doubted she was ready. With out her help a bunch of players at MNMS would not have had a chance to play. Thanks Aubrey
9/14 Congratulations to the Maroon team for winning the Bald Eagle Invitational this past weekend. The team dominated their opponents by going 10-0 for the day. Only Mount Nittany was able to score more than 10 points in a set. And congratulations to Mount Nittany for fighting thru injuries and position changes to take 2nd place.
9/07 Congratulations to our Maroon team on a 1st place finish in a very tough Celtic Classic in Pittsburgh. The team beat Saint Louise 25-13, 25-12 in the finals.

2024 Season
This year we had 50 athletes trying out for our 2 teams. It is exciting that so many are interested in trying out for volleyball, but it is very sad that we can't offer them all a place to play, socialize and have fun. The young women who didn't make the team are very good players, and we wish them the best. We hope we will see many of them again at intramurals, open gyms and tryouts next year.
Our schedule this year will be a little different. We have fewer matches but more tournaments. We are looking to add more matches/scrimmages but some of the best competition will be in our own gym during practice. Congratulation to everyone that made the team and we're looking forward to a great year.
Transportation
If you are driving your daughter home after an AWAY match, you need to sign her our with one of the coaches. If you are taking someone else's daughter home after an AWAY match, you need to file the following request form with the athletic's office.

2024 Requirements to Try Out
The school district has several mandatory requirements that must be met before any player can try out for any team.
- Open a record in Family ID (app on school website) with contact info, sports you're trying out for, etc
- Upload a physical into Family ID
- Perform the concussion baseline testing with the athletic trainers
- The schedule will be posted on the athletics home page
- This test only needs to be done every other year
As you go through Family ID pay attention to required signatures and dates.
