Intramural Eligibility

Intramural Eligibility

What are Intramural Athletics?

Intramurals in our district provide opportunities for competition and recreational physical activities at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels.  Intramural activities and competitions are conducted within our school district and do not involve events with other school districts.  A wide variety of activities are offered in an attempt to meet the needs and interests of the majority of students.

Who may participate in Intramural Athletics?

All SCASD students in grades 4 through 12 are eligible to participate in intramural athletic activities.

Home-schooled students (grades 4-12) residing within the District shall be eligible to participate in intramural athletics at the age-group school within their regular (SCASD) attendance area.  Parents must register their children with the SCASD Learning

Enrichment Office (154 W. Nittany Avenue; 231-1054) by March 1 of the school year prior to the one in which they wish to participate.

For specific information about intramural offerings at your school, contact your building’s intramural coordinator.

Sports Physicals

Intramural sports physicals are not required for students that participate in intramural athletics.

Parents/guardians should, however, complete a participation permission form, medical history and permission for treatment forms provided by the Intramural Coordinator.

Students will not be permitted to participate in intramural athletic activities without the appropriate parental consent.
