Booster Club FAQs

What does our booster club do?

    • We are…a group of parents and supporters who volunteer their time to the State College Area School District Boys’ Basketball programs in grades 7th thru 12th.  We strive to make the basketball season as special as possible for the students, players, and coaches.

    • We will…

      • Support community service activities for our players and promote school spirit through various events.
      • Provide all participants with appropriate snacks and healthy pre/post-game meals, as needed. Approximately 40% of the booster’s annual dues support the cost of food.
      • Organize and support end-of-season banquets and celebrations, along with support for local tournaments.
      • Provide funds, through member dues and fundraising, to the programs to buy supplies and equipment which will enhance the program for the current year and the future.

    How can I get involved?

The Booster club is an integral part of the boys basketball program. Volunteers are always needed to support the needs of the team. We also encourage parents/guardians to participate regularly in Booster Club meetings and organization activities. The Booster Club works much like our teams, in that we need participation from everyone.  We request that all player families volunteer for at least two shifts per player at Concessions.  You just need a desire to make the season as special as it can be for the players and coaches. Volunteers for Concession please sign up on the Sign-up Genius when posted here.
