Head Coach -Allen McGriff

Coach Allen McGriff enters his ninth season with the State College Area School District. For the past eight years, he has coached the Park Forest Middle School boys basketball team, and this season marks his first year leading the Mount Nittany Middle School boys basketball team.

A native of New York City, Allen moved to State College in 2007 and began his coaching journey in 2013 with the YMCA. In January 2018, he became an assistant coach at Park Forest Middle School. Over the years, he has coached both boys and girls at levels ranging from kindergarten through high school.

Coach McGriff believes basketball teaches far more than competition and skill—it builds life lessons in commitment, understanding, and focus.
