Allen McGriff (Varsity Head Coach)

Coach McGriff is starting his seventh season coaching the Park Forest Middle School Boys Basketball Team and his third season as Varsity Head Coach. A New York City native, Allen moved to State College in 2007. He began coaching in 2014 for the YMCA and worked his way up to becoming an Assistant Coach for the Park Forest basketball team in January of 2018. Over the years, he has coached both boys and girls, anywhere from Kindergarten to the Middle School level. Coach McGriff believes that basketball teaches more than just competition and honing talent, but also to develop numerous life skills such as commitment, understanding and focus.
